Keystone Kids Youth Wrestling sees success in November tournaments
/The Sand Springs Keystone Kids elementary wrestling program is off to a great start in the winter Folkstyle season, bringing home 12 gold medals from their first three tournaments. A select few made the trip to Des Moines, Iowa for the Preseason Nationals, and the full team has seen action at two events.
The Kids placed sixth out of 31 teams at the Claremore Invitational and were fifth in total pins, first in technical falls, second in total match points, and fourth in winning percentage for teams with more than ten wrestlers. The team had five champions and two runners-up, with seven bronze medals and four fourth-place finishes.
At the Union IceFighter Tournament, they placed fifth out of 28 teams and were sixth in pins, tenth in tech falls, and eighth in total match points. They earned seven gold medals, four silvers, and seven bronze, with five fourth-place finishes.

Division 5
Jayden Pait won the 92-pound bracket with two pins. He beat Michael Tatum (Union) in 0:29 and Jasmine Carlile (Second to None) in 2:19.
Jesse Moore placed third at 113 pounds, beating Braden Joens (Broken Arrow) 10-1, and pinning Gunner Boulware (Second To None) in 3:00 and Tanner Jarvis (Union) in 1:29. His only loss was 7-0 to Owen Jones (Broken Arrow).
Division 4
Kaden Pope won the 73-pound bracket with a forfeit, a 12-0 major decision against Sage Thorn (Second to None), and a 4-2 decision against Connor Pounds (Sperry).
Matthew Moore won the 84-pound bracket with a 9-2 decision and an 11-0 major decision, both against Brice Lozinsky (Scissortail).
Jace Simms won the 88-pound bracket with a pair of pins, 0:33 against Macy Gorczynski (Dark Cloud), and 0:54 against Mia Adams (Union).
Brody Wilson placed second at 76 pounds, pinning Layken Turney (Broken Arrow) in 0:23 and beating Nathan Riley (Union) 10-3, but falling to Adam Young (Union).
Division 3
Samuel Moore won the 67-pound bracket with a 1:00 pin of Lane Walther (Miami) and a 4-2 sudden victory decision over Jacob Fuller (Sperry).
Kasen McAffrey took first place at 90 pounds, pinning Noah Boulware (Second to None) in 4:18 and Logan Gray (Caney) in 1:52.
Trace Barr placed third at 70 pounds. He lost his first match to Caddo Gilmore (Ouachita), but beat Charles Gregory 6-0 and pinned Briar Webb (Scissortail) in 1:01.
Jayden Bussell placed third at 76 pounds. He fell to Sonny Hicks (Glenpool), but pinned Christian Ketiku (Bartlesville) in 2:37 and Mason Denison (Sand Springs) in 1:29, and beat Corbin Wooley (Sand Springs) 2-0.
Aiden Rhine placed third at 110 pounds with a 2-2 record. He pinned teammate Cooper Nichols in 0:37 and received a forfeit, but fell 16-0 to Austin Freisberg (Caney) and was pinned by Kage Gorczynski (Dark Cloud).
Mason Denison finished fourth at 76 pounds, pinning Conlee Adair (Tahlequah) in 1:07 and beating Christian Keiku (Bartlesville) 4-1. He was pinned by Hunter Schondel (Dark Cloud) and teammate Jayden Bussell.
Cooper Nichols placed fourth at 110 pounds, pinning Brantley Hilton (Coweta) in 1:39. He was pinned by teammate Aiden Rhine, majored 14-5 by Kage Gorczynski (Dark Cloud) and teched 15-0 by Austin Freisberg (Caney).
Corbin Wooley went 1-2 at 76 pounds, pinning Conlee Adair (Tahlequah) in 1:41. He was pinned by Hunter Schondel (Dark Cloud) and lost a 2-0 decision to teammate Jayden Bussell.
Division 2
Wes Wilson placed second at 46 pounds, falling to Braylon Duffey (Second to None), but pinned Pistol Autrey (Sperry) in 1:02.
Nash Denison placed third at 49 pounds, pinning Hays Bruner (Claremore) in 2:10, but fell 5-2 to Colton Perry (Union) and 9-4 to Colton Durant (Broken Arrow).
Cooper Ellenburg went 0-2 for third place at 64 pounds, falling to Za McIntosh (Glenpool) and Jack Lucas (Scissortail WC).
Beginner 4
Nathan Feather went 0-3 for fourth place at 110 pounds with two falls and a 7-6 loss to Cole Cummings (Owasso).
Beginner 2
Brodie Morgan went 2-2 for fourth place at 55 pounds, beating James Smith (Broken Arrow) 11-9 in sudden victory overtime and pinning Landon Lewis (Owasso) in 2:59. He was pinned by Jayton Roach (Verdigris) and Jordan Ridge (Sperry).
Nash Huff was 0-4 for fifth place at 70 pounds with five falls.
Keaton Smith went 1-2 at 52 pounds, pinning Harper Boardman (Broken Arrow) in 0:57 before falling 16-0 to Declan Kelsey (Owasso) and 10-8 to Jaden Richardson (Coweta).
Paisley Hamilton went 0-2 at 61 pounds with two falls. She also picked up de facto gold as the only entrant in the Girls 8&Under 60-pound bracket.
Beginner 1
Legend Dentis placed second at 43 pounds, beating Cristian Cosio (Claremore) 12-8 and Channing Replogle (Broken Arrow) 6-2 before falling to Acetyn Fitzmorris (Scissortail).
Adam Wilson placed second at 49 pounds, pinning Brighton Deleon (Coweta) in 0:09, Benjamin Hays (Catoosa) in 0:18, and Oliver Paschall (Broken Arrow) in 1:00 before falling to Ayden Cooper (Catoosa).
Colt Combs went 1-2 for fourth place at 55 pounds. He was pinned in 0:20 by Kohbe Albert (Owasso) and beaten 7-4 by Maxwell Drew (Tulsa), but pinned Benjamin Fisher (Tahlequah) in 0:12.
Henrich Hansen went 2-2 at 49 pounds, pinning Dillon Myers (Sperry) in 0:40 and teching Brighton Deleon (Coweta) 15-0. He was pinned by Connor Suskey (Claremore) and Cayden Cullison (Sperry).
Caemon Young was pinned twice at 43 pounds.
John Kern was pinned twice at 60 pounds.

Ally Catterson went 0-2 for third place at 85 pounds, falling to Makenzi Estrada (Sperry) and Destiney Adams (Tulsa).

Jesse Moore went 3-1 for third place in the 120-pound bracket. He pinned Cable Golden (Threestyle Wrestling) in 1:54, teched Camden Postier (Team Tulsa) 18-1, and won a 12-5 decision over Bruce Quayle (Honey Badger Wrestling Club). His only loss came by fall to Ethan Peterson (Sapulpa).
Division 4
Mathew Moore won the 80-pound bracket with an 11-4 decision over Brice Lozinsky (scissortail wrestling club), a 2-0 decision over Dakota Fenwick (Van Buren Matdawgs), and a pin of Luis Flores in 1:14.
Jaxon Trotter won the 105-pound bracket with a 16-1 tech fall over Riley Hicks (Second to None), an 18-2 tech fall over Clarence Robertson (Miami), and a pin of Cannon Vincent (Ouachita) in 2:24.
Jace Simms took third place at 88 pounds with a 2-1 record. He fell 9-0 to Aaron Wyrick (Team Grind House), but won an 8-7 decision over Joaquin Moralez (Honey Badger Wrestling Club) and pinned Blake Cooper (Cleveland) in 2:56.
Division 3
Samuel Moore placed third at 64 pounds with a 3-1 record. He pinned Ivan Collier (Owasso) in 3:23 and Trevor Bruner (Claremore) in 0:50 but fell to Grant Davis (Honey Badger Wrestling Club) in 2:44. In the consolation finals he won by 7-1 decision over Blake Parker (Ponca City).
Trace Barr went 3-1 for third place at 70 pounds. He was pinned by Davin Renick (Honey Badger Wrestling Club), but pinned Drake Ford (Bartlesville) in 2:18 and Caddo Gilmore (Ouachita) in 1:20, and won a 16-3 major decision over John Burk (Cleveland).
Joshua Compton went 0-2 at 73-pounds, giving up two pins.
Division 2
Karson Waag placed second at 43 pounds with a 1-1 record. He won by 10-2 major decision over Hutch Landrum (Second to None) but fell 10-0 to Breccan Smith (Ponca City).
C. Zayden Anderson went 2-2 for third place in the 55-pound bracket. He lost his first match 5-0 to Kale Hayes (Honey Badger Wrestling Club) and was pinned by Camden Runnels (Wildcat Takedown Club). He won by 7-6 decision over Wyatt Haire (Verdigris), and by 13-1 major decision over Channing Weed (Union).
Cooper Ellenburg took third place at 64 pounds with a 2-2 record. He was defeated 17-1 by Jack Lucas (scissortail wrestling club) and pinned by Grant Davis (Honey Badger Wrestling Club), but received a forfeit and pinned Mason Perry (Mcalester) in 0:25.
Jett Sullivan placed fourth at 70 pounds with a 1-2 record after receiving a forfeit. He fell 5-0 to Hunter Thorn (Second to None) and 2-0 to Kayin Smith (Bartlesville).

Colton Lambert took first place at 43 pounds with two forfeits and a 13-9 decision over Colton Toothman (Glenpool).
Beginner 3
Tyler Feigenbaum won the 80-pound bracket, pinning Layken Turney (Broken Arrow) in 0:18 and Addyson Morris (Claremore) in 0:19, and majoring Dax Curtsinger (Verdigris) 14-0.
Beginner 2
Sawyer Hansen came in runner-up at 64 pounds. He lost his opening match 15-4 to Andrew Kraft (Broken Arrow), but received a forfeit and pinned Gage Pope (Verdigris) in 1:30.
Nah Huff went 0-3 for fourth place at 67 pounds.
Beginner 1
Bryher Collins won the 52-pound bracket with ease, pinning Mathias Aragon (Claremore) in 0:15, Kinsen Morton (Claremore) in 0:33, and Wyatt Callaham (Second to None) in 2:28.
Colt Combs took third at 55 pounds with a 3-1 performance. He pinned Jacob Enyart (Claremore) in 2:55 and Benjamin Fisher (Tahlequah) in 1:38, and won a 9-7 sudden victory decision against Jax Rogers (Owasso). His only loss was a semifinal pin by Kobhe Albert (Owasso).
Colt White went 3-2 for fourth place in the 43-pound bracket. He won a 13-10 decision over Cristian Cosio (Claremore) and pinned Aiden Crone (Mcalester) in 2:09 before falling 14-6 to Cooper Bess (Mcalester Youth Wrestling). In consolation he won by 12-9 decision over Cristian Cosio (Claremore) and was pinned by Aiden Crone (Mcalester).
Henrich Hansen placed fourth at 49 pounds with a 2-2 record. He was pinned by Oliver Paschall (Broken Arrow) and by Jase Renfroe (Mcalester), but beat Landyn Summitt (Ponca City) 11-9 in sudden victory and pinned Connor Suskey (Claremore) in 2:39.
Legend Dentis went 1-2 at 43 pounds. He defeated Jase Hammond (Bartlesville) 16-15, but fell 12-10 to Samuel Davis (Dark Cloud Wrestling Club) and 8-7 to Hayden Stanford (scissortail wrestling club) in sudden victory.
Asher Miller went 1-2 at 46 pounds, pinning Kohen Snyder (Owasso) in 1:24 before falling to Jack Fraser (Second to None) and Andrew Alexander (Owasso).
Stetson Johnson went 2-2 at 46 pounds. He was pinned twice by Cooper Shrier (Broken Arrow), but pinned Kohen Snyder (Owasso) in 2:15 and Titus Cooper (Owasso) in 0:27.
Axle Barrett went 1-2 at 52 pounds. He received a forfeit and was pinned by Kinsen Morton (Claremore) and Carter Malone (Owasso).
