City of Sand Springs Announces New Chipotle Restaurant Coming to Sheffield Crossing

Sand Springs, OK - The City of Sand Springs is pleased to announce that a new Chipotle Mexican Grill will be built at 420 S. Highway 97 in Sand Springs, further strengthening the community’s growing commercial landscape. The restaurant will be located within Sheffield Crossing; a key development area being advanced by the City of Sand Springs.

Construction of the new Chipotle is expected to be completed by the 4th quarter of 2026, bringing new dining options, employment opportunities, and economic activity to the area.

Mayor James O. Spoon welcomed the announcement, emphasizing the significance of Chipotle’s decision to invest in Sand Springs.

“We are excited that Chipotle has chosen Sand Springs for its newest location,” said Mayor Spoon. He added, “Their investment reflects confidence in our city’s growth, our residents, and the vision we have for Sheffield Crossing. This project represents the kind of high-quality development we are working hard to attract.”

City Manager Mike Carter echoed that sentiment, noting how the project aligns with long-term economic development goals.

“Chipotle is a nationally respected brand known for quality, sustainability, and innovation,” said City Manager Carter. He further related, “Their presence in Sheffield Crossing is a strong signal that Sand Springs is a great place to do business. We are proud to support development that enhances amenities for our community while creating jobs and expanding our tax base.”
