CPHS Volleyball: Youngblood named to All-Conference First Team, 5 Sandites receive honorable mentions

Charles Page High School senior Devree Youngblood was named to the Frontier Valley All-Conference First Team Tuesday morning following an 18-14 Sandite Volleyball season, and five of her teammates received honorable mentions.

Youngblood, an Oklahoma Baptist University commit, led the team in kills (260) and digs (326). She also had 12 assists, 30 blocks, and 38 aces this season. She received an All-Tournament recognition at the Mustang Invitational.

Madison Burris received an honorable mention. She scored 131 kills, 303 assists, 23 blocks, 200 digs, and 41 aces this year.

Cloe Campfield received an honorable mention. She recorded 204 kills, 5 assists, 12 blocks, 212 digs, and 31 aces.

Raylynn Mong received an honorable mention. She posted a team-high 376 assists and 45 aces, along with 2 blocks and 189 digs. She will continue her volleyball career at Ottawa University.

Vanessa Wyrick received an honorable mention. She scored 98 kills, 5 assists, 40 blocks, 42 digs, and 27 aces this season.

Junior Madison Blaylock was the the only underclassman to receive an honorable mention. She recorded 7 kills, 65 assists, 321 digs, and 41 aces this year.

Broken Arrow’s Ian Bullen was named Frontier Valley Coach of the Year after taking his team to a 32-3 overall record, 9-0 conference record, and State Runner-Up finish. The Tigers were ranked first in Class 6A going into the final week and won titles at the Norman, Owasso, and Regional Tournaments. Bullen holds a 296-177 career record and is 117-50 in his five seasons at Broken Arrow.

Owasso senior and University of Central Oklahoma-commit Mallory Hendrix was named Conference MVP. Broken Arrow’s Macy Blackburn and Natalie Morales took home Offensive MVP and Defensive MVP, respectively. The three MVPs were also named to the Oklahoma Coaches Association Large East All State team this past week.
