Scott Watkins is recognized alongside fellow All-State Sandites before a 2017 baseball game.

Charles Page High School graduate and varsity Assistant Coach Scott Watkins was named to the Oklahoma State All-Decade team for the 1990s on Wednesday.

The Pokes are playing their final season at the historic Allie P. Reynolds Stadium, which has been their home since 1981. They will move into the new $60 million O’Brate Stadium next season.

During his time at OSU he amassed a career record of 17-4 with five saves and 134 strikeouts in 151.1 innings. The Pokes went 49-16 overall during the 1992 season, winning the Big Eight Conference and placing second at the Midwest Regional.

He was drafted in the 23rd round by the Minnesota Twins in 1992 and had a ten-year career in the minor leagues with one season in the majors. He went 0-0 in the MLB, pitching eleven strikeouts in 21.2 innings for a 5.4 ERA. He finished his career with a 30-27 record, going 20-19 in AAA, 4-1 in AA, and 4-5 in A.
