The Class 6A No. 7 ranked Charles Page High School wrestling team (10-7) has wrestled a brutally tough schedule this season and on Tuesday they took on nationally ranked No. 24 Broken Arrow (13-2) in their third nationally ranked dual of the season so far. The defending State Champions won 11 weight classes in the 55-12 victory.

The dual started at 106 pounds where Christian Forbes pinned Shane Wolf (13-13) in a battle of former teammates. Forbes started the year at Sand Springs but moved to Broken Arrow shortly before the season started.

Parker Witcraft won a 13-1 major decision against Mitchell Smith (14-5), and State Placer Bryce Cockrell won an 11-3 major decision against Caden Vaughn (9-5) for a 14-0 lead before the Sandites got on the board.

Seth Jones (21-4, 65-33) won a huge 8-2 decision against State Finalist Jackson Cockrell for his tenth-straight victory, but the Tigers went back to winning with a 15-0 technical fall from State Qualifier Blazik Perez against Carter Goodman (8-11). Chris Kirby (27-8, 85-32) kept the Sandites alive with his eleventh-straight win, a 4-2 decision against State Qualifier Tye Rozell, but State Finalist Bryce Mattioda clinched the dual with a pin of Dakota Taylor (3-17, 3-24). Ramses Soto won an 8-5 decision against Sango Whitehorn (8-21, 10-25) and Zeno Marcheselli pinned Brooks Dudley (21-6, 31-24) to complete the rout.

The teams traded forfeits in the final two weights with State Champion Emmanuel Skillings getting the win at 220 and Josh Fincannon (29-10, 68-44) collecting points at 285.

Broken Arrow will travel to Bixby (1-6) Thursday at 7:00 p.m. in their final dual of the regular season, then will compete at the Glenpool tournament this weekend. Sand Springs will take ten days off to get healthy and get prepared for the Dual State Tournament in Enid on the 14th. Both Sand Springs and Broken Arrow have qualified for Dual State.
