Oklahoma High School Football Rankings: Class 6A-II Week Eight

  1. Bixby (7-0, 4-0, Last week No. 1).

    • The Spartans won their 19th-straight game 61-14 against Bartlesville with a 47-0 first half shutout.

    • Mason Williams was 13-18-259-0 for five touchdowns, with Luke Creeger and Brennan Presley both hauling in triple digit receiving yards. Braylin Presley was 10-98 rushing, Trevon Hold made a pick, and Reis Vernon continued his perfect season kicking PATs (46/46) and made a 35-yard field goal.

    • Bixby will host Sand Springs Friday at 7:00 p.m. They shut out the Sandites 35-0 last year and have won five straight in the series.

  2. Stillwater (7-0, 4-0 Last week No. 2).

    • Stillwater took a 62-14 lead over Lawton by halftime, and neither team scored in the second half. Gunnar Gundy was 14-19-271-1 with three touchdowns, and Steven Brown had three catches for 126 yards and two scores. Qwontrel Walker was 15-215 for four scores on the ground. Tevin Williams and Cedrik Frazier made picks and Jake Diaz recovered a fumble. Williams scored on his interception

    • The Pioneers will travel to Putnam City West Friday at 7:00 p.m. They beat the Patriots 48-0 last year for their second-straight win in the series.

  3. Del City (6-1, 4-0, Last week No. 4).

    • The Eagles put together their first shut out of the season, 56-0 against Putnam City. Jahkobie Smith scored two running touchdowns and was 6/6 kicking PATs. Keshon Meadows threw a TD pass to Collin Siesinger and ran in a two-point conversion. Donovan Stephens recovered a fumble for a score.

    • Del City will look to continue their unbeaten district season Friday at 7:00 p.m. in Midwest City. They fell 42-6 to the Bombers last year and have dropped six-straight meetings.

  4. Muskogee (6-1, 3-1, Last week No. 3).

    • Unbeaten no more, Muskogee hit its first hiccup 32-29 at Shawnee. A blocked punt for a touchdown set the tone of the upset to come. Ty Williams was 11-20-82-0 passing and Jimmie Coleman was 29-219 rushing. They had the lead going into the final 11 seconds, but gave up a fourth-down in the red zone to queue up the go-ahead run.

    • The Roughers will look to make up for the loss when they host Booker T. Washington Friday at 7:00 p.m. They lost 47-26 last year and haven’t won against the Hornets since 2016.

  5. Booker T. Washington (4-3, 3-1, Last week No. 5).

    • The Hornets utterly shut down Sapulpa, holding them to 53 offensive yards in a 48-7 beat down. Both teams gave up three turnovers, and Washington gave up 165 yards in penalties, but it didn’t slow them down any. Sapulpa’s only score game on a 93-yard kick return in the third quarter.

    • Krishawn Brown scored on a fumble return and John Benson had a 90-yard interception return in the powerful defensive performance. Jaden Carroll paced the offense with 111 yards and four touchdowns.

    • Washington will travel to Muskogee Friday at 7:00 p.m. They beat the Roughers 47-26 last year and have won their past two meetings.

  6. Midwest City (3-4, 3-1, Last week No. 6).

    • The Bombers beat Deer Creek 27-14 on the road. Davione Tipton and Isaiah Hausam had interceptions and DeAngelo Irvin Jr. scored a trio of touchdown runs.

    • Midwest City will host Del City Friday at 7:00 p.m. They beat the Eagles 42-6 last year and have won six-straight meetings.

  7. Choctaw (4-3, 2-2), Last week No. 8).

    • Choctaw rebounded from a 74-14 loss at Stillwater with a 74-14 win over Putnam West. Thad Williams threw for 292 yards and three touchdowns in one half, and backup QB Steele Wasel threw one and ran for one. The defense only gave up 82 yards and scored one touchdown on two interceptions.

    • The Yellowjackets will travel to Lawton Friday at 7:00 p.m. They fell 54-44 last year to the Wolverines and 2016 was their only win against Lawton in the past seven meetings.

  8. Sapulpa (4-3, 1-3, Last week No. 7).

    • The Chieftains are not the same team that they were two weeks ago, and a depleted roster led to a 48-7 loss at Booker T. Washington. Sapulpa’s only score came on a 93-yard kick return from JaMario Jones. The offense was shut out for the first time this season and held to only 53 yards. Sophomore Zac Mason was 6-19-25-1 passing.

    • Sapulpa will host Shawnee Friday at 7:00 p.m. They have won their past two meetings with the Wolves, including a 63-35 bout last year.

  9. Edmond Deer Creek (3-4, 1-3), Last week No. 9).

    • Deer Creek fell 27-14 to Midwest City. Wil Hinton had a big red zone kick return to set up a score, Zane Shades had a fumble recovery, and Elijah Allen scored on an interception return.

    • The Antlers will travel to Putnam City Friday at 7:00 p.m. They beat the Pirates 14-7 last year.

  10. Lawton (4-3, 1-3, Last week No. 10).

    • The Wolverines suffered a 62-14 loss to Stillwater. Eric Wiley was 8-28-155-2 passing for one touchdown and Devin Simpson was 1-1-52-0 for another. Christian Houston was 16-74 to lead the ground game. Elijah Reyes had a 40-yard interception return.

    • Lawton will host Choctaw Friday at 7:00 p.m. They beat the Yellowjackets 54-44 last season.

  11. Ponca City (4-3, 2-2, Last week No. 11).

    • Ponca snapped a seven-year losing streak to Sand Springs to improve to their first four-win season since 2005. Justin Andrews was 8-16-92-0 passing for one touchdown, and was 16-60 rushing for another. Kyter Welch led the ground game 12-76 for a score. Spencer Ball was 3/3 kicking PATs and made a 34-yard field goal.

    • The Wildcats will aim to continue that success when they host Bartlesville Friday at 7:00 p.m. They fell 49-34 last year, but won the year before that to snap a nine-year losing streak.

  12. Bartlesville (1-6, 1-3, Last week No. 12).

    • Bartlesville fell 61-14 to Bixby after trailing 47-0 at the half. Ben Winters racked up 292 passing yards and one rushing score in the loss.

    • The Bruins will travel to Ponca City Friday at 7:00 p.m. They won 49-34 last year.

  13. Shawnee (2-5, 1-3, Last week No. 14).

    • The Wolves picked up their first district win with a major 32-29 upset of previously undefeated Muskogee.

    • Dre’ Evans was 18-27-192 passing and also led the Wolves in rushing yards with 65. Scout Cawvey was 9-119 receiving. Joe Maytubby blocked a bunt and Tanner Bare recovered it for a touchdown.

    • Shawnee will travel to Sapulpa Friday at 7:00 to try for back-to-back upsets.

  14. Sand Springs (2-5, 1-3, Last week No. 13).

    • Sand Springs had two touchdowns called back for holding and missed a field goal in a 17-0 first half shut out against Ponca City, ultimately falling 24-14 for the first time in seven years.

    • Ty Pennington was 13-23-202-1 for one touchdown, with Keaton Campbell as his leading receiver at 6-134. They were held to only 55 rushing yards and lost the turnover margin 3-0.

    • The Sandites will travel to Bixby Friday at 7:00 p.m. They were shut out 35-0 last year and have dropped five-straight meetings with the Spartans.

  15. Putnam City (1-6, 1-3, Last week No. 15).

    • The Pirates have given up 87 unanswered points following a 56-0 shutout at Del City. They will host Deer Creek Friday at 7:00 p.m. They fell 14-7 to the Antlers last year, but won the year before that.

  16. Putnam City West (0-7, 0-4, Last week No. 16).

    • The Patriots fell 74-14 to Choctaw and are still looking for their first win of the season. Darius Sharpe scored an 85-yard kick return in the loss.

    • Putnam West will host Stillwater Friday at 7:00 p.m. They were shut out 48-0 the last time the two teams met.
