Oklahoma High School Football Rankings: Class 6A-II Week Seven

  1. Bixby (6-0, 3-0, Last week No. 1).

    • The Spartans won their 18th-straight game 49-3 against Ponca City. The offense had its second-lowest scoring performance of the season, but the defense played its third game of the year without giving up a touchdown.

    • Mason Williams was 14-21-141-1 with three touchdowns passing and 3-14 with another score on the ground. Braylin Presley led the run game with 9 carries for 120 yards and a TD, and had a punt return for a TD. Reis Vernon continued his perfect season kicking PATs (42/42).

    • Bixby will travel to Bartlesville Thursday at 7:00 p.m. They rolled the Bruins 65-6 last year and haven’t lost in the series since 2015.

  2. Stillwater (6-0, 3-0 Last week No. 2).

    • The Pioneers scored on 10 of 12 possessions in a 74-14 rout of Choctaw. Gunnar Gundy was 16-17-363-0 passing for three scores and Qwontrel Walker was 25-127 rushing for six TDs. Garrick Martin recovered two fumbles and scored a 49-yard pick six.

    • Stillwater will host Lawton Thursday at 7:00 p.m. They beat the Wolverines 23-20 last year, ending a four-year losing streak.

  3. Muskogee (6-0, 3-0, Last week No. 3).

    • Muskogee shut down Sapulpa 34-6, led by Jimmie Coleman with a 28-291 rushing performance for four touchdowns. Ty Williams was 9-16-136-1 passing and also picked off two passes.

    • The Roughers will travel to Shawnee Thursday at 7:00 p.m. They defeated the Wolves 35-26 last year and have won their past three meetings.

  4. Del City (5-1, 3-0, Last week No. 4).

    • Gage Galbreath made a pick and Quinlan Ganther threw four TDs in a 29-18 win over Deer Creek. The Eagles will host Putnam City Thursday at 7:00 p.m. They won last year’s meeting 46-7.

  5. Booker T. Washington (3-3, 2-1, Last week No. 5).

    • The Hornets doubled down on Shawnee 52-26, racking up seven sacks and holding the Wolves to a 30-17 rushing performance. They jumped out to a 16-0 lead and were up 36-13 at the half. Gentry William was 11-22-260-0 for five TDs and Jaiden Carroll was 22-108 on the ground with two 2-point conversions.

    • Washington will host Sapulpa Thursday at 7:00 p.m. They beat the Chieftains 20-3 last year and have won their past five meetings.

  6. Midwest City (2-4, 2-1, Last week No. 6).

    • Midwest City prevailed 31-3 against Putnam City, scoring 31 unanswered points after trailing 3-0 to start the second quarter. DeAngelo Irvin Jr. scored two touchdowns by air and one on the ground, and Elliot Janish kicked a 27-yard field goal.

    • The Bombers will travel to Deer Creek Thursday at 7:00 p.m. They have won their past three meetings with the Antlers, including a 35-9 bout last year.

  7. Sapulpa (4-2, 1-2, Last week No. 7).

    • The Chieftains have taken major injuries this past week and it resulted in a 34-6 loss to Muskogee. Starting QB Eli Williams is out for the season and several other players have suffered lesser setbacks. Te’Zohn Taft missed the game, and Marcus Esparza and Wyatt Hall went down mid-game. Zac Mason, in his first varsity start, was 17-26-142-2 passing and scored the lone TD on a QB sneak.

    • Sapulpa will travel to Booker T. Washington Thursday at 7:00 p.m. They fell 20-3 last year and haven’t beaten the Hornets since 2007.

  8. Choctaw (3-3, 1-2), Last week No. 8).

    • Choctaw suffered a brutal 74-14 defeat at the hands of Stillwater, with the defense only getting two stops on twelve Pioneer possessions. The Yellowjackets also gave up three turnovers. They will look to get back to a winning record Thursday at 7:00 p.m. when they host Putnam West. They won last year’s meeting 35-7.

  9. Edmond Deer Creek (3-3, 1-2), Last week No. 9).

    • The Antlers struggled against Del City, falling 29-18 behind a 7-21-77-1 passing performance from Brett Pense and 33-133 ground game.

    • Deer Creek will host Midwest City Thursday at 7:00 p.m. They fell 35-9 to the Bombers last year and have lost their past three meeting.

  10. Lawton (4-2, 1-2, Last week No. 10).

    • Lawton picked up its first district win with a 42-0 shutout of Putnam West. Eric Wiley was 7-10-192-0 passing for two touchdowns. Two running backs broke triple digits. Antonio Galbreath was 10-171 for two TDs and Christian Houton was 13-154 for two TDs.

    • The Wolverines will travel to Stillwater Thursday at 7:00 p.m. They lost last year’s meeting 23-20 but won four-straight before that.

  11. Ponca City (3-3, 1-2, Last week No. 11).

    • The Wildcats were held to a 27-yard field goal from Spencer Ball in a 49-3 loss to Bixby, but got a moral victory in knowing they held the Spartans to their second-lowest scoring output of the season. Devin Zimmerschied picked off his second interception of the season.

    • Ponca will travel to Sand Springs Thursday at 7:00 p.m. They fell 35-14 to the Sandites last year. The Wildcats haven’t won in the series since 2011, and haven’t won at Memorial Stadium since 2005.

  12. Bartlesville (1-5, 1-2, Last week No. 13).

    • Bartlesville finally got in the win column with a 54-34 upset of Sand Springs, thanks to a 21-0 second quarter shutout. Ben Winters was 7-14-163-1 passing for three TDs, while Laken Clowdu was 35-217 rushing for four more.

    • The Bruins will host Bixby Thursday at 7:00 p.m. They last defeated Bixby in 2015 and fell 67-6 last year.

  13. Sand Springs (2-3, 1-1, Last week No. 12).

    • Sand Springs took an early lead in Bartlesville and the second half was a wash, but they couldn’t overcome a 21-0 second quarter shutout.

    • Ty Pennington was 15-38-296-1 for two TDs and ran in another. He had two receivers in double digit, with Keaton Campbell catching 6 passes for 139 yards and a score, and Jacob Snodgrass catching 7 for 115 yards and a TD. Daren Hawkins ended a 33-game scoring drought for the Sandite Defense with an 83-yard interception return.

    • The Sandites will host Ponca City Thursday at 7:00 p.m. They have won seven straight meetings with the Wildcats, including a 35-14 bout last year.

  14. Shawnee (1-5, 0-3, Last week No. 14).

    • The Wolves were held to a 30-17 rushing performance and 7-21-143-2 passing game in a 52-26 loss to Booker T. Washington. Shawnee will host Muskogee Thursday at 7:00 p.m. They fell 35-26 to the Roughers last year.

  15. Putnam City (1-5, 1-2, Last week No. 15).

    • The Pirates fell 31-3 to Midwest City, giving up 31 unanswered points after starting the game with a field goal. Putnam will travel to Del City Thursday at 7:00 p.m. They lost last year’s meeting 46-7.

  16. Putnam City West (0-6, 0-3, Last week No. 16).

    • The Patriots suffered their first shutout of the year, 42-0 to Lawton. They will continue looking for their first win of the season when they travel to Choctaw Thursday at 7:00 p.m. They lost last year’s meeting 35-7.
