CPHS Softball: Blair, Presnell, Taber named to All-State team

Three members of the Charles Page High School fast pitch softball team were recently named to the Oklahoma High School Fast Pitch Coaches Association All-State Large-East Team.

Seniors Kimi Presnell, Jacie Taber, and Madelyn Blair will play in the All-State Softball Game June 8th, 2019 at Oklahoma Christian University at 1:00 p.m. Sand Springs and Duncan were the only two teams in the Large division to finish with three All-State members.

Taber, a Missouri State University commit, finished the season with a 6-1 pitching record and 1.59 earned run average while batting .411 with a perfect 11-0 base running performance.

Blair is committed to the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma. She pitched an 8-3 record and 1.58 ERA with a team-best 41 strikeouts and batted .353.

Presnell led the team in several categories: batting average (.462), on-base percentage (.529), runs (44), hits (48), doubles (14), triples (2), base running (15-1), and double plays (10). She will be taking her talents to Rogers State University.

Other college-bound Sandites include Cameron Clemons (Southern Arkansas University) and Elizabeth Luttrell (Cowley County Community College).

Sandite Softball finished the season 23-9 overall and 8-2 for second place in their district. They were eliminated from the OSSAA State Tournament in the quarterfinals but won the Academic State Championship with the best cumulative GPA in Class 6A.
