Most Outstanding Wrestler: Dylan Avery (Perry)

The No. 1 ranked Charles Page High School wrestling team (15-0) won their second-straight dual over another No. 1 ranked team to clinch the 2nd Annual Ram Duals title Saturday afternoon in Owasso. After topping Kansas No. 1 Manhattan 53-24 in the semifinals, they rolled to an equally impressive 48-18 victory over 3A No. 1 Perry (14-2). Sand Springs won ten of fourteen matches and never trailed.

Noah Almy (17-15) made his mark on the Maroons, handily outscoring State Qualifier Kort Davis 18-2 for a technical fall in 4:23. Zane Basma (18-2 season, 80-27 career) pinned Zack Lowry half a second before the first buzzer, then Hayden Cramer (7-7) narrowly avoided a fall and was saved by the buzzer against State Qualifier Kohl Owens. He picked up a takedown of his own early in the second period, but couldn't escape the pin the next time he went down and fell in 3:18.

The Maroons scored another victory at 195 with a back-and-forth 8-6 decision by State Qualifier Robert Spiekers over Gage Fain (23-11, 36-33), but Delvin Jordan (33-2, 64-14) made up for it by pinning Teaguen Wilson in 0:57. The Sandites forfeited heavyweight, but got bonus points at 106 as Riley Weir (30-6, 51-18) majored State Runner-Up Alex Valencia 12-0.

Tanner Ward (25-9, 101-21) lost an 8-4 decision to freshman Dylan Avery, but Michael Ritchey (28-8, 57-32) scored a big win at 120 with a 4-0 victory against State Champion Cale Betchan.

The Maroons' last big shot to get back into contention fell with State Runner-Up Brycen Justus who was defeated 8-2 by Blake Sargent (28-8, 90-22). Perry forfeited to Daton Fix (35-0, 153-0) and Jack Karstetter (21-1, 94-16) topped State Qualifier Riley Cinnamon 8-5 to clinch the dual at 36-18 with two matches left.

Beau Bratcher (34-6, 125-29) pinned Logan Patton in 1:29 and Payton Scott finished things up with a pin of State Qualifier Jace Burdick in 1:33. 

The Sandites will return to action Tuesday evening at 5:00 p.m. when they host 5A No. 4 Collinsville () at Clyde Boyd Middle School.

Tanner Ward picks up 100th win in 59-12 victory over 3A No. 4 Comanche

The initial bracket posted by Owasso was incorrect and the Sandites found themselves pitted against 3A No. 4 Comanche (13-2) instead of Union, but it didn't make much of a difference. The top-ranked Sand Springs wrestling team (13-0) rolled over the Indians as easily as they rolled over the Redskins and every other opponent they've faced this season.

Senior Jack Karstetter (19-1 season, 92-16 career) worked up a 17-2 technical fall over Ethan Hamrick in only 3:31, then Beau Bratcher (32-6, 123-29) pinned Christopher Armijo in only 46 seconds.

Payton Scott (28-1, 49-9) won a 13-5 major decision over Kamren Vanbuskirk, but Comanche put points in the board with a 5-1 decision from State Qualifier Ryan Aker over sophomore Noah Almy (16-14). The teams exchanged falls from there as Zane Basma (16-2, 78-27) pinned Chaz Allen in 2:36 and State Qualifier Dailen Presgrove pinned freshman Hayden Cramer (7-5) in 43 seconds. Konnor Doucet picked up another win for the Indians, topping Gage Fain (22-10, 35-32).

From there it was all Sandites as Delvin Jordan (31-2, 62-14) rolled to a 20-5 tech fall over Rowdy Rhone in 2:06. Sophomore Dominique Pipes (2-4, 2-6) picked up his first fall of the season in 4:49 against Jacob Martinez. Riley Weir (28-6, 49-19) won a 7-3 decision over Jaxon Miller. Tanner Ward (24-8, 100-20) joined the hundred club with a pin of Sean Williams in 0:39. Michael Ritchey (26-8, 55-32) pinned Rylan Poston in 2:50, Blake Sargent (26-8, 78-22) pinned Tristan Glancy in 0:31, and Daton Fix (33-0, 151-0) finished things off with a pin of Trevor Cusumano in 1:47.

Next up the Sandites will take on their toughest opponent of the season in Kansas No. 1 ranked Manhattan High School, who just topped Lebanon, Missouri (20-4) 38-30. Manhattan boasts ten State Qualifiers, two State Runners-Up, and one State Champion.

The Sandites just love their pinning streaks. Even when they take on some of the toughest teams in the State, they're shooting for the fall every time.

The No. 1 ranked Sand Springs wrestling team (12-0) continued their undefeated season with a commanding 65-12 victory over No. 12 Claremore (9-3), winning eleven of fourteen matches with nine pins.

Three-time undefeated State Champion Daton Fix (32-0 season) picked up his 150th career win. The Oklahoma State-committed senior put on a takedown clinic against Parker Price, working up a 16-7 lead before pinning his foe in 3:34.

Technically Jack Karstetter (18-1, 91-16) didn't get a fall, but he did get a technical fall, topping State Qualifier Logan Rea 17-2 in only 3:26. Beau Bratcher (27-6, 118-29) elected to go for the actual fall, pinning State Qualifier Tracy Reeder in 4:41, and Payton Scott (27-1, 48-9) followed suit with a pin of Corbin Ballard in 2:21.

The streak came to a close at 170 as State Qualifier Austin Short prevailed 7-4 over sophomore Noah Almy (16-13). Zane Basma (16-2, 78-27) responded with a pin of State Qualifier Josh Parzaile in 2:29, but Claremore picked up another win at 182 as Seth Seago topped freshman Hayden Cramer (7-4) in a close 5-1 decision. 

Gage Fain (22-9, 35-31) pinned Adam Cegielski in 2:27 and Delvin Jordan (30-2, 61-14) took down Ryan Cochran in 0:58, then Claremore pulled out their lone pin of the night as Paul Odell topped sophomore Dominique Pipes (1-4, 1-6) in 4:28. That would be the last match the Zebras would win.

Riley Weir (27-6, 48-18) pinned Michael McMorris in 0:50, Tanner Ward (23-8, 99-20) pinned Ethan Stevenson in 3:12, Michael Ritchey (25-8, 54-32) received a forfeit, and Blake Sargent (25-8, 77-22) pinned Cole Harris in 1:11 to wrap up the night. 

The Sandites will return to action Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. with a rematch against No. 6 Union (6-4). Sand Springs defeated the Redskins 68-9 earlier this season.

The No. 1 ranked Charles Page High School varsity wrestling team (11-0) just cant be stopped this season. In the fourth round of the Ram Duals tournament they rolled to their fifth shutout of the season, 80-0 over Springdale, Arkansas.

Blake Sargent (24-8 season, 76-22 career) pinned Logan Walton in 0:53 to start off the dual, then Oklahoma State-commit Daton Fix (31-0, 149-0) put on a takedown clinic and led Kotomai Tamangdad 8-4 before pinning him in 1:20. Jack Karstetter (17-1, 90-16) handled Paul Mejibon in 0:39, Cody Mathis (8-5, 26-19) pinned Leeon Runny in 1:10, and Payton Scott (26-1, 47-9) took down Jonathan Snider in 0:23 for a 30-0 team lead. 

The pinning streak finally came to an end as Noah Almy (16-12) won a 7-1 decision over Jordi Villarreal, but Hayden Cramer (7-3) started it right back up again by pinning Noland Joran in 5:53. Gage Fain (21-9, 34-31) took care of Roland Joran in 1:29, and Delvin Jordan (29-2, 60-14) topped Cree Gonzalis in 0:42.

Dominique Pipes (1-3, 1-5) picked up a forfeit at heavyweight. Riley Weir (26-6, 47-18) scored a 15-0 technical fall over Isaace Ponce in 2:07, Tanner Ward (22-8, 98-20) pinned Christian Davidson in 0:34, and Michael Ritchey (24-8, 53-32) ended the dual with a fall over Thoper Runny in 3:36.
