CPHS Football Preview: No. 8 Sandites to take on Arkansas State Champions
/After securing their first victories of the 2018 season, Sand Springs and Greenwood, Arkansas will both be looking to improve to a winning record Friday night at Smith Robinson Stadium.
The first-ever meeting between the two teams will be played on the home turf of the defending Arkansas 6A State Champions. A daunting foe, but not something the Sandites aren't used to. Sand Springs took on the Arkansas 5A State Champions from Pulaski Academy the past two years. Both were brutal losses, but helped prepare the Sandites for some of the tough district battles to come.
Greenwood went undefeated in three-straight regular seasons before losing their opener this year. They made it to the State finals three years in a row before finally wining their eighth gold ball last season.
