Brynlee Slankard scored her first goal of the season in a 1-0 district victory against Shawnee.

The Charles Page High School girls' soccer team (7-3, 1-2) picked up their first district win of the season Tuesday evening at Memorial Stadium.

After a scoreless first half, Brynlee Slankard made the lone goal in a 1-0 victory against Shawnee (5-6, 0-3). She scored in the 64th minute and nearly added another with three minutes left, missing the goalie but barely catching the post.

Hailey Satterfield and Amanda Harris were aggressive for the Lady Wolves, but Oklahoma City University-signed goalie Abigail Banks notched several saves for the shutout.

The boys' game was a high-scoring affair, but the Wolves (8-3, 1-2) recorded their first district win in come-from-behind fashion 5-4 over the Sandites (4-6, 0-3).

Kossi Kodoe scored six minutes into the match to draw first blood for Shawnee, but Weslee Calhoun tied it up with an assist from Luke Jeffus at 23:28. Jaden Weiser put back a shot from Jack Bratcher for the lead at 27:55, then Bratcher made a goal of his own at 33:05.

Lucas Gunn scored just fourteen seconds after Bratcher's goal and the Wolves trailed 3-2 at half time.
