Tropical Smoothie Cafe to Hold Grand Opening on Friday
/(Sand Springs, OK) - Residents of Sand Springs will soon have a new dining option with the grand opening of Tropical Smoothie Cafe on Friday, May 26th. The national fast-casual cafe concept, known for its healthy eating options including smoothies, wraps, sandwiches, and flatbreads, is set to open its doors at 502 West Morrow Road.
To mark the occasion, a ribbon-cutting ceremony will be hosted by the Sand Springs Chamber of Commerce at 10:00 a.m.
The cafe will be situated on the south side of Morrow Road, neighboring Ascension St. John Urgent Care and Huskey Avenue. The property, previously owned by the city, was purchased for a total price of $360,390.
The Sand Springs location will be operated by DYNE Hospitality Group, Tropical Smoothie Cafe's largest franchisee. This will be DYNE's 19th cafe in Oklahoma, contributing to its portfolio of 91 Tropical Smoothie Cafes spread across six states.
Tropical Smoothie Cafe traces its origins back to a humble smoothie shop along the Florida Panhandle in 1993. Over the years, it has evolved to offer a diverse menu that includes flatbreads, bowls, and breakfast items, in addition to its signature smoothies. The company has garnered recognition for its rapid growth and has been featured in Entrepreneur's Franchise 500, Forbes' Best Franchises list, and the Franchise Times Top 400 list.
The Sand Springs location is part of Tropical Smoothie Cafe's expansion plans, with at least 12 new cafes set to open in 2023. As the company continues to grow, it remains committed to providing customers with a range of superfood, classic, indulgent, and supercharged smoothies, along with optional supplements.
With the grand opening just a few days away, Sand Springs residents can look forward to enjoying the healthy and delicious offerings of Tropical Smoothie Cafe, adding to the city's vibrant dining scene.
Also located in Sheffield Crossing is a Chick-Fil-A, which opened in 2020, and a Dutch Bro’s Coffee shop which opened in 2022.
The City has also recently announced plans for a new Chili’s Grill & Bar and Planet Fitness gym location in the nearby River West development.
Both River West and Sheffield Crossing have been developed by the Sand Springs municipal government as city revitalization efforts.
