Twin Cities Elementary was constructed in the 1920s and served the Sand Springs School District through 2003. It was reopened that same year through a lease agreement with the Sandite Child Development Center before being closed again in 2009. It was demolished in 2017 after being listed For Sale for over a year with little market interest.
The school was located at 11 South 65th West Avenue and the vacant property is still owned by the Sand Springs School District.

On August 16, 2025, Mildred Joan Davis ("Joanne") (nee, Brown), beloved Mother and Grandmother was taken from this life to the next into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She dedicated her life to the education of children and to her family.
