The Oklahoma Secondary Schools Activities Association (OSSAA) has recognized Fast Pitch Softball since 1950.

The Sand Springs Softball Association was formed in 2008 and participates in the United States Specialty Sports Association. The teams play at the Will Ramsey Softball Complex in Case Community Park. Teams range from age 6&Under up to 14&Under.

The Sand Springs Public School Softball program begins in the seventh grade with Junior High, Junior Varsity, and Varsity teams.

The Lady Sandites' home field is at the Sandite Sports Complex at 408 West 55th Street. The facility opened in 1999 thanks to a $943,000 bond election.

Sand Springs Softball Coaches

Head Coach Shelli Brown is a 1984 Broken Arrow alum where she was a two-time State Runner-Up and was inducted into the BA Athletic Hall of Fame in 2003. She played collegiate softball at Northeastern State University where she earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. She took over the program in 1997 after a stint as a Norman assistant and holds a 679-388 fast pitch record after the 2024 season.

Varsity assistant Jennifer (Owen) Sallee is a 2010 CPHS alum and played collegiate softball at Labette Community College and Drury University. She was a second team NJCAA All-American and KJCAA All-Conference selection.

Varsity assistant Jessica Schuler is a 2016 CPHS alum and played collegiate softball at Northeastern State University. She was an All-State selection in high school and an all-MIAA selection at NSU. She spent one season as a graduate assistant on the NSU coaching staff before returning to Sand Springs.

Varsity assistant Asea (Webber) Cole is a 2015 Mannford alum and played college softball for one season at Oklahoma State University and three seasons at Wichita State University.

Varsity assistant and JV head coach Paige (Luellen) Kelly is a 2013 Jenks alum, where she was an All-State selection. She played five seasons at Wichita State University and was an MVC All-Second Team selection as a freshman. As a senior she set school records for career RBIs and walks.

Junior high coaches are Hailee Flores, Jacie Taber, and Aurelia Webber.

Jacie Taber is a 2019 CPHS alum and was an All-State selection. She played collegiate softball at Missouri State University.

Aurealia Webber is a 2020 Mannford alum and played collegiate softball at Oklahoma Wesleyan University.
