The Oklahoma Secondary Schools Activities Association (OSSAA) has recognized Slow Pitch Softball since 1983.

The Sand Springs Softball Association was formed in 2008 and participates in the United States Specialty Sports Association. The teams play at the Will Ramsey Softball Complex in Case Community Park. Teams range from age 6&Under up to 14&Under.

The Sand Springs Public School Softball program begins in the ninth grade with both junior varsity and varsity teams. Head Coach Shelli Brown took over the program in 1997 after a stent as a Norman assistant.

The Lady Sandites' home field is at the Sandite Sports Complex at 408 West 55th Street. The facility opened in 1999 thanks to a $943,000 bond election.
