Katy Trail and Rotary Centennial Park
Katy Trail is an 8.5 mile Easy-rated trail stretching from downtown Tulsa to East 34th Street in Prattville. The trail intersects with River City Trail at the Arkansas River Bridge, which runs for an additional 1.8 miles through Case Community Park.
Public parking is available in Sand Springs at the former site of Drug Warehouse, in Case Community Park, and in downtown Sand Springs on Main Street.
The trail also connects with the Newblock Park Trail and River Parks East Trail in Tulsa, offering another 30+ miles of interconnected Tulsa County trails.
The trail runs past the last remaining site of the sandy springs from which the town of Sand Springs was named. The majority of the springs were destroyed during the construction of the Keystone Expressway. The Sand Springs Rotary Centennial Park features informative plaques telling the history of the site.
The City of Sand Springs is pleased to announce that a new Chipotle Mexican Grill will be built at 420 S. Highway 97 in Sand Springs, further strengthening the community’s growing commercial landscape. The restaurant will be located within Sheffield Crossing; a key development area being advanced by the City of Sand Springs.
