Harper's Hut Shaved Ice & Java opened its first location in Sand Springs, Oklahoma in June of 2014. Founded by Tulsa native William Nozak, the shaved ice stand became the hit of the summer with lines that often kept the business open for hours past their official closing time.

Harper's Hut's Sand Springs location was at 1124 E Charles Page Blvd #700 in the Harris Properties Shopping Center next to the Cinema 8 movie theater. The Hut was situated on a large grassy lot with room for activities such as ultimate frisbee, corn-hole, and more. The Hut hosted free family events throughout the year, including car shows, block parties, snowball fights, fundraisers, free movie nights, and more.

In the summer of 2015 Harper's Hut expanded to the Sapulpa Aquatic Center, Glenpool Black Gold Park, and Mannford. Mannford was a traditional hut building operated by Nozak, while the two park facilities were opened under lease agreements inside existing concession stands. In December of 2015, the Hut expanded to South Sand Springs with a coffee trailer in the Prattville Center.

In 2016 the Hut expanded to the River City Park Concession Stand under a lease agreement with the West Side Alliance and Sand Springs Soccer Club. Terry's Classic Coneys in the Prattville Center also began carrying a limited menu of Harper's shaved ice. The coffee stand transitioned to a catering-centered business model and ceased operations in Prattville. Harper's Hut partnered with Terry's Classic Coneys to resurrect a classic car show in the Prattville Center. Harper's also brought snow to the Charles Page High School Memorial Football Stadium.

In 2017 the Terry's location and Glenpool concession stand closed, as did the Mannford hut. Located next to Phelps Market, the land leased by Harper's was sold to an incoming business. In a statement issued by Nozak, the Mannford hut will be moved to "Sand Springs and hopefully returning to Mannford in the future." The Harper's Hut Classic Car Show returned in 2017, this time in partnership with the Sand Springs Chamber of Commerce as the anchor event for the Chillin' & Grillin' Festival at Pogue Airport. The Sand Springs location expanded its amenities to include several brand new seating options, including a pirate ship. Harper's also announced partnerships with the Sapulpa Football Stadium, Sapulpa Softball Complex, Pleasant Valley Farms, and Sungate Neighborhood Pool.

Harper’s Hut closed down in 2018 and the assets were donated to Church That Matters.
