Sapulpa teammates No. 5 Johnathan Warford and 113 No. 5 Brandon Blose switched weight classes at Yukon, but Blose failed to place.

Seth Graves moved up from 138 and took second, pinning Shamar Duncan in 3:43 and topping Zane Taylor 3-1 in sudden victory, but didn't go head-to-head with Lee. Taylor took fourth and pinned Killian McGrew in 1:47. Duncan didn't place, but did top Blake Muse 7-6. McGrew pinned Austin in 0:51.

According to the Broken Arrow Ledger, State Champion Skyler Haynes has been cleared to return in time for the post season, marking a big challenge for Delvin Jordan, who has had fairly easy competition thus far. Mason Lancaster took first place at Yukon, pinning Caulin Poole in 4:00. Poole came in second and topped Cody Adams 2-1. Adams placed third and topped Parsa Lessani 5-1. Lessani took fourth.

6A No. 1 Sand Springs triumphs 75-6 over No. 14 Jenks for Homecoming

The No. 1 ranked Charles Page High School varsity wrestling team (16-0) continued their undefeated season with a dominating 75-6 performance against No. 14 Jenks (3-4) Thursday night at homecoming.

Riley Weir (31-6 season, 52-18 career) wasted no time at 106, taking down Garrett Johnson in the first five seconds and added a trio of back points as the first period expired. He started the second period down, quickly reversed, then pinned his foe in 2:50. Tanner Ward (26-9, 102-21) was equally quick in taking control of Lucas Debolt and took a 5-1 lead with nearfall points in the first minute, then got the pin in 1:10.

120 was a potential State Tournament preview as previous State Qualifiers Michael Ritchey (29-8, 58-32) and Chase Slatton went head-to-head. The Sandite got an escape to start the second period 1-0, then nearly gave up a takedown as the Trojan caught him on one leg. The experienced senior didn't panic, however, and fought his way out of it. Ritchey had a vice grip on Slatton in the third and his opponent never came close to an escape. He added back points on two occasions and rode out for a 6-0 decision.

Blake Sargent (29-8, 81-22) took on Brandon Elrod at 126 and the Trojan put up a valiant effort, only trailing 2-0 after the first. Sargent chose the down position to start the second period and scored an escape thirty seconds in. The two stayed on their feet till the end of the period when Sargent got a takedown and pin at the 3:50 mark.

Oklahoma State-signed senior Daton Fix (36-0, 154-0) worked his usual technical assault on Enrique Chavez and scored five takedowns in the first minute. Fix led 12-5 after the first and was up 17-6 when he finally cradled the Trojan at 2:41.

Jack Karstetter (22-1, 95-16) received a forfeit at 138, then Beau Bratcher (35-6, 126-29) pinned Killian McGrew in 0:51. Colt Freeman was the next Trojan to fall, going down in 1:01 at the hands of junior Payton Scott (30-2, 51-10).

Jenks finally put points on the board with a pin of Noah Almy (17-16) in 1:10 at the hands of Chase Kelvington. Zane Basma (19-2, 81-27) quickly earned those points back, however, with a 1:10 pin of Jaylon Pitts.

Hayden Cramer (8-7) took on Naimul Islam at 182 and scored a takedown midway through the first period. Cramer started the second period down and escaped almost immediately, then took his foe to the mat once again. This time he added a pair of nearfall points before letting Islam escape and entered the third period 7-1. Islam chose the bottom in the final stretch and Cramer sealed the deal at 4:43.

Gage Fain (24-11, 37-33) received a forfeit, then Delvin Jordan (34-2, 65-14) played a game of cat and mouse with Corbin Crisp, working up a 6-1 lead before pinning him in 0:50. The final match of the night was between Caleb Orr and Kris Edwards (4-0), and the Sandite came out with the pin at 1:59 to seal the 75-6 team victory.

Sand Springs will return to action next Tuesday at Bixby (1-6) in their final dual of the regular season. After that they'll be traveling to Shawnee on February 10th for the Dual State Championship at Firelake Arena.

The Sandites just love their pinning streaks. Even when they take on some of the toughest teams in the State, they're shooting for the fall every time.

The No. 1 ranked Sand Springs wrestling team (12-0) continued their undefeated season with a commanding 65-12 victory over No. 12 Claremore (9-3), winning eleven of fourteen matches with nine pins.

Three-time undefeated State Champion Daton Fix (32-0 season) picked up his 150th career win. The Oklahoma State-committed senior put on a takedown clinic against Parker Price, working up a 16-7 lead before pinning his foe in 3:34.

Technically Jack Karstetter (18-1, 91-16) didn't get a fall, but he did get a technical fall, topping State Qualifier Logan Rea 17-2 in only 3:26. Beau Bratcher (27-6, 118-29) elected to go for the actual fall, pinning State Qualifier Tracy Reeder in 4:41, and Payton Scott (27-1, 48-9) followed suit with a pin of Corbin Ballard in 2:21.

The streak came to a close at 170 as State Qualifier Austin Short prevailed 7-4 over sophomore Noah Almy (16-13). Zane Basma (16-2, 78-27) responded with a pin of State Qualifier Josh Parzaile in 2:29, but Claremore picked up another win at 182 as Seth Seago topped freshman Hayden Cramer (7-4) in a close 5-1 decision. 

Gage Fain (22-9, 35-31) pinned Adam Cegielski in 2:27 and Delvin Jordan (30-2, 61-14) took down Ryan Cochran in 0:58, then Claremore pulled out their lone pin of the night as Paul Odell topped sophomore Dominique Pipes (1-4, 1-6) in 4:28. That would be the last match the Zebras would win.

Riley Weir (27-6, 48-18) pinned Michael McMorris in 0:50, Tanner Ward (23-8, 99-20) pinned Ethan Stevenson in 3:12, Michael Ritchey (25-8, 54-32) received a forfeit, and Blake Sargent (25-8, 77-22) pinned Cole Harris in 1:11 to wrap up the night. 

The Sandites will return to action Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. with a rematch against No. 6 Union (6-4). Sand Springs defeated the Redskins 68-9 earlier this season.

The No. 1 ranked Charles Page High School varsity wrestling team (11-0) just cant be stopped this season. In the fourth round of the Ram Duals tournament they rolled to their fifth shutout of the season, 80-0 over Springdale, Arkansas.

Blake Sargent (24-8 season, 76-22 career) pinned Logan Walton in 0:53 to start off the dual, then Oklahoma State-commit Daton Fix (31-0, 149-0) put on a takedown clinic and led Kotomai Tamangdad 8-4 before pinning him in 1:20. Jack Karstetter (17-1, 90-16) handled Paul Mejibon in 0:39, Cody Mathis (8-5, 26-19) pinned Leeon Runny in 1:10, and Payton Scott (26-1, 47-9) took down Jonathan Snider in 0:23 for a 30-0 team lead. 

The pinning streak finally came to an end as Noah Almy (16-12) won a 7-1 decision over Jordi Villarreal, but Hayden Cramer (7-3) started it right back up again by pinning Noland Joran in 5:53. Gage Fain (21-9, 34-31) took care of Roland Joran in 1:29, and Delvin Jordan (29-2, 60-14) topped Cree Gonzalis in 0:42.

Dominique Pipes (1-3, 1-5) picked up a forfeit at heavyweight. Riley Weir (26-6, 47-18) scored a 15-0 technical fall over Isaace Ponce in 2:07, Tanner Ward (22-8, 98-20) pinned Christian Davidson in 0:34, and Michael Ritchey (24-8, 53-32) ended the dual with a fall over Thoper Runny in 3:36.

The No. 1 ranked Charles Page High School wrestling team (10-0) continued its undefeated streak with a 66-0 victory over 3A No. 5 Vian (16-5) in the third round of the Ram Duals in Owasso. This is their fourth shutout this season.

The Sandites defeated Midwest City 69-9 in the first round, then had a bye, while Vian fell 57-18 to No. 12 Claremore (7-2) in round one and defeated Springdale 37-33 in round two.

The Sandites got off to yet another fast start as Michael Ritchey (23-8 season, 52-32 career) pinned Taylor Knotts in 1:04, Blake Sargent (23-8, 75-22) pinned Christian Jones in 1:17, and  Daton Fix (30-0, 148-0) and Jack Karstetter (16-1, 89-16) both received forfeits.

Things got competitive at 145 as Beau Bratcher (26-6, 117-29) took on Whitt Fletcher. The Sandite got off to a good start with a takedown and nearfall for a 5-0 first period lead, then reversed to make it 7-0 early in the second. Then he hurt his elbow and was only able to hold on for the duration without scoring or being scored on.

Payton Scott (25-1, 46-9) pinned Kanton Washington in 0:15 and Mikey Burns (4-3) pinned Gunnar Griffith in 1:02 before there was another tough match. Zane Basma (14-2, 76-27) took on River Simon at 170 and prevailed 7-3 to make the team score 42-0.

Freshman Hayden Cramer (6-3) had a close call against Kade Cato that went into overtime, but Cramer came out on top of a 10-8 sudden victory decision. Gage Fain (20-9, 33-31) won a 10-5 decision over Robert Reason, and the teams double-forfeited 220.

Delvin Jordan (28-2, 59-14) wrestled up to heavyweight and took on Lance Leif for his twenty-second pin of the season, this time in 0:20. Back at 106 Riley Weir (25-6, 46-18) received a forfeit, then Tanner Ward (21-8, 97-20) pinned Jake Coffee in 1:42 to complete the shutout, 66-0.

The Sandites will return to action in round four against Sprindale. Springdale had a bye in the first round before falling to Vian and 60-15 to Claremore. 

No. 1 Sandite wrestling defeats Putnam City West 82-0 with 12 pins

Just an hour after unofficially setting the national record for fastest dual win with fourteen pins, the Sandites nearly did the same thing to their next opponent.

The No. 1 ranked Sand Springs wrestling team (7-0) hosted three other schools Thursday night at the Ed Dubie Field House for district dual night. They pinned the entire U.S. Grant team in a cumulative 14 minutes and 2 seconds in the first dual, unofficially topping a 20-year old record by five seconds.

According to Wrestling USA Magazine, the fastest ever time for a fourteen-match dual won entirely by pin was 14:07, set in 1997 by Marquette, Michigan. Though the record won't be official unless Head Coach Kelly Smith or Athletic Director Rod Sitton begin an application process with Wrestling USA Magazine, the Sandites can be proud just knowing they did it. 

In the second dual of the night, the Sandites took on Putnam City West (2-6) and for a while it looked like they might be trying to beat the record all over again. 

Tanner Ward (18-8 season, 94-20 career) pinned Yanni Ellis in 0:33. Michael Ritchey (20-8, 49-32) pinned his opponent in 3:36. Blake Sargent (21-7, 73-21) took an 8-0 lead over Landon Loudermilk before pinning him in 2:46.

Then the Sandites really got aggressive. Daton Fix (27-0, 145-0) pinned Chandler Tolton in 0:21. Jack Karstetter (13-1, 86-16) pinned his opponent in 0:04, matching a national record set by Blair Renfrow (Glynn Academy, Brunswick, Georgia) in 2003. Beau Bratcher (23-6, 114-29) pinned Matthew Hart in 0:17, and Payton Scott (22-1, 43-9) pinned Addison Sutton in 0:06. 

The pinning streak finally came to a close at the 160 pound match as Noah Almy (13-12) won a 16-6 major decision over Terrel Garrett, but Zane Basma (11-2, 73-27) started things right back up again with a 0:04 pin of Chance Strickland, matching the national record set by Robert Scavage (Mt. Carmel, Pennsylvania) in 1969.

Hayden Cramer (3-3) continued things with a pin of Eric Guzman in 1:16. Gage Fain (17-9, 30-31) worked up a 6-1 lead over Ahmauriahn Romby before pinning him in 2:37. Delvin Jordan (25-2, 56-14) pinned Jose Silva in 0:44 after leading 11-2. Kris Edwards (2-0) pinned Junior Martinez in 2:36 and Riley Weir accepted a forfeit to conclude the 82-0 shutout victory. 

The Sandites have one dual left for the evening and will battle Enid (2-6) for their ticket to Dual State in Shawnee.
