3X Sandite of the Week Riley Weir wins Regional Championship

Charles Page High School junior Riley Weir was selected as our Sandite of the Week for his first-place finish at the OSSAA 6A-East Regional Championship. 

Weir pinned his first three opponents en route to his second-straight Regional title and third State Tournament appearance. 

He pinned Garrett Johnson in 2:51, Henry Warren in 2:24, and Blazik Perez in 5:16, then won a 4-0 decision over Mustang's Tucker Owens to avenge a 2-1 loss at Dual State. 

At press-time, the Sandites are mid-tournament at Oklahoma City's Jim Norick Arena. Weir pinned Shawnee junior Caleb Nahmahpeah (27-8) in 59 seconds in the first round of the State Championship.
