In 2017 the newly-founded Sand Springs Small Business Coalition hosted its inaugural Christmas Tree Lighting on the downtown Triangle with help from the Sand Springs Chamber of Commerce and Sand Springs Parks Department. 

To kick off the Holiday Season the downtown area was filled with food trucks and Christmas carolers and the area businesses stayed open late with special Holiday deals. 

The festivities were a smashing success and more than a thousand people turned out. 

The 2nd Annual Christmas Tree Lighting was held Saturday, November 24th at the conclusion of the Sand Springs Sings vocal competition.
