CPHS Baseball: Sandites shut out Hilldale 5-0 in scrimmage, Ash strikes out seven

The Charles Page High School baseball team played their second scrimmage of the season Tuesday evening and prevailed 5-0 over Hilldale High.

Tyler Ash pitched seven strikeouts and no hits in three innings, Kieffer Massey pitched three strikeouts and one hit, and Bryce Peterman threw two strikeouts and two hits. Sand Springs recorded seven hits and only three strikeouts in the shutout win.

Malahi Burks got the Sandites on the board in the bottom of the third, scoring on a single from Cal Watkins. Watkins was next across home plate on a single from Ethan Sartin.

Michael Miller singled in Ryan Seabolt in the fourth then scored on a passed ball, and Seth Villines scored on a single from Watkins.

The Sandites defeated Booker T. Washington 10-0 on Monday and have yet to give up a run. They will travel to scrimmages at Metro Christian Academy on Friday and Union High School on Saturday. The season won’t officially begin till Friday, March 1st.
