5X Sandite of the Week: Cheyenne Walden wins 25th gold medal in 3200 run

Charles Page High School senior and Oklahoma State University-signed State Champion Cheyenne Walden was selected as Sandite of the Week for the fifth time after winning her 25th gold medal in the 3200 meter run this past week at Booker T. Washington High School.

This was her 25th gold medal overall in the event, but it was also her 21st-straight. She hasn't been defeated in the 3200 since her freshman year. She also holds nine gold medals in the 1600, and two in the 800. In Cross Country she holds two gold medals in the one mile, ten in the two mile, and seventeen in the 5K. She holds four Cross Country State Championships and three Track and Field State Championships.
