Sandites trail 16-7 going into half

By: Scott Emigh, Editor-in-Chief

The first quarter was a mess for the Sandites at their state championship game against the Bixby Spartans. Hunter Greathouse, who has only thrown 6 interceptions all season till tonight, threw 2 picks and fumbled one pitch in the first quarter as the Spartans took a 13-0 lead.

The infamous Sandite D has been working hard however and held the Spartans to only 67 offensive yard in the first quarter and 48 in the second.

The offense found its legs in quarter two however and ran up 60 yards and a touchdown while the D held Bixby to a field goal.

Spartans will receive the ball to start the second half.
